Chevron nail art

Hi everyone! This is a quickie post between classes (which is why this post won't have a proper format lol) to show you two nail designs that I did a few days ago and I loved them.

The first one is a combo of white, pink, silver and black. I was dying to try that chevron design, and it looks pretty cool! The polishes I used are listed below. 

El primero es una combinación de blanco , rosa, plata y negro. Me moría por probar ese diseño de chevrons y se ve bastante bien! Los esmaltes que use están listados abajo.

The next one is a bestie twin mani, yeeeey!!! I love doing collabs with the sweet Mari from Nailista y co. This time we were inspired by makeup brand Too faced and their holiday collection. 

El siguiente es un bestie twin mani, yeeeeey!! Me encanta hacer colaboraciones con la linda Mari de Nailista y co. Esta vez nos inspiramos con la colección de invierno de la marca de maquillaje Too Faced. 

I bought those awesome gold decals at Sally, they're perfect! It was very challenging to create this mani and we both had many fails in the process but in the end it was worth it. Polishes used listed below.

As you can see this plate has many 'ugly sweater' full nail designs and snowflakes to create perfect winter manis. And not only winter manis, if I may. The top left design could be worn any time of the year, and I love those designs so much that I wouldnt mind to use them in July- lol. 

Como pueden ver esta placa tiene muchos diseños de uña completa de 'suéter feo' y muchos copitos de nieve para crear manicures perfectos de invierno. Y no solo de invierno, si puedo decirlo. El diseño de arriba a la derecha pudiera ser usado en cualquier momento del año, y me gustan tanto esos diseños que no me importaría usarlos en Julio- jaja.

This time I did a simple manicure with the full nail designs, the base color is Jazz by Essie and I stamped with French White by Nina. (Whats your favorite black stamping polish? I've been looking for a good one!)

Esta vez hice un mani simpel con los diseños para uña completa, el color base es Jazz de Essie y estampé con French White de Nina. (Cuál es su esmalte negro favorito para estampar? He estado buscando uno bueno!)

Born Pretty Store week, Day 7: Stone / Piedra

Whoops! Gotta mention something before starting with the post: this stones are reaally big for my nails. Dont panic! As I have been saying all week long, my nails are very small. I am somewhat petite haha. Still, I managed to place one stone in a way that I felt it wasnt so bad. I, actually, liked the result! It was on my thumb, obviously. But lets move on to the important info about it!

Oops! Tengo que mencionar algo antes de comenzar con el post: estas piedras son muuuy grandes para mis uñas. No entren en pánico! (O como dijera mi abuela, que no panda el cúnico). Como he estado diciendo toooda la semana, mis uñas son chiquitititititas. Soy un poco petite, jaja.
Aun así, me las ingenié para colocarla estrategicamente en donde me quedara mas o menos bien, que fue obviamente mi pulgar, mi pulgar accent nail! jajaja, la verdad terminó gustandome bastante lo que se me ocurrio! Pero vayamos a la información importante del post!

These stones need nail glue for a long lasting manicure. You may reuse them as many times as you want and they're great decorations! This one is just the wrong size, but it would be amazing if it was juuuust a bit tinier.

Estas piedras necesitan pegamento para uñas para un manicure duradero. Las puede usar las veces que deseen y son decoraciones excelentes! Esta es solo el tamaño incorrecto, pero sería genial si fuera solo un poquiiiito  mas pequeña.

The fact that my thumb was my accent nail gave me some issues when taking pics. Im used to my hand pose, where you cant see the thumb directly. This was hard! So excuse the weird hand pose haha!

El hecho de que mi pulgar fuera mi accent nail me dio algunos problemas a la hora de tomar las fotos. Estoy acostumbrada a mi posicion de mano, donde no se puede ver mi pulgar directamente. Esto fue difícil! Asi que perdonen la pose rara jajaja!

These squares are small and perfect for placement manicures. They're bendable and they don't bleed with the top coat.

Born Pretty Store week, Day 5: Holo hearts

Hello my darlings! We're back with the second half of the BPS week!  Today I have these amazing heart studs, but not just any heart studs-these are holographic!

Hola mis queridos! Estamos de vuelta con la segunda mitad de la semana BPS! Hoy les tengo estos increíbles studs de corazón- pero no cualesquiera studs de corazón- estos son holográficos!

This studs are the perfect size for my nails. In fact, these would look great on any nail size I think! There are several colors (some npn holographic) but mines are somewhat grey. 

Estos corazones son del tamaño perfecto para mis uñas. De hecho, creo que se verían super bien en cualquier tamaño de uñas! Hay en muchos colores (algunos no holográficos) pero los mios son como color gris.

For this first nail art I used Ballerina's Charm by Essence as my base color, then added some stamps with BM-311 and Beyond by Color Club. I used top coat instead of nail glue for the hearts, just because as it fits perfectly it will be harder for it to fall.

Para este primer nail art use Ballerina's Charm de Essence como mi color base, luego agregué un estampado de la placa BM-311 y Beyond de Color Club. Usé top coat en lugar de pegamento para uñas para los corazones, solo porque como ajustan perfectamente será mas difícil que se caigan.

Mermaid nails

Im a mermaid!!

No. But I did a mani so I could have mermaid nails! lol. This is a quick post, I wanted to show you this design, tell me what do you think :D!

Soy una sirena!

No. Pero hice un mani para tener manos de sirena! jaja. Este es un post rapidito, solo para mostrarles este diseño, diganme que opinan!! :D

 For the gradient I used three China Glaze polishes. First mate, spontaneous and Rich & famous. But you can do it with whatever blue, purple and pink you have on hand. 

Para el gradiente use tres esmates de China Glaze. First mate, Spontaneous y Rich & famous. Pero lo pueden hacer con cualesquiera azul, morado y rosa que tengan a la mano. 

For stamping, I used a perfect black holo, Beyond by Color Club. I wonder what it would have looked like if I had stamped with Harp on it instead (silver holo) but I conceived the idea this way. 

Para estampar, use un holo negro perfecto, Beyond de color Club. Me pregunto como se vería si hubiera estampado con Harp on it (holo plata) pero concebí la idea de esta manera.

The plate for the fish scales was Mash-39, and it was a gift from my sweet Mari from Nailista y co.

La paquita para las escamas fue Mash-39 y fue un regalo de mi querida Mari de Nailista y co.

Born Pretty Store week, Day 4: Snowflake / Copo de nieve

Hello helloooooo! Its day 4 of the BPS week! I like to think of it as the mid season finale hahaha. Speaking of, Im dying to see the new episodes of The Walking Dead and American Horror Story! Arggh, I'm gonna have to wait a lil' longer.. Anyways, here's the product of the day, Snowflake charm!

The snowflakes have a diameter of 9.5 mm. You know by now I have tiny nail beds, but it should fit well on regular sized nails. Either way, its not that big! And if you like big decorations, you're gonna love it.

Los copitos tienen un diámetro de 9.5 mm. Para estas alturas ya sabrán que mis uñas son chiquititas, pero deberia quedar a la medida en uñas de tamaño normal. De cualquier forma, no es tan grande! I si les gustan las decoraaciones grandes, esta les va a encantar. 

I matched these charms with a blue and white watermarble, topped with Techno by China Glaze.

Combiné estos charms con un watermarble azul y blanco, con una capita de Techno de china Glaze.

Hello! How are you today? If you read yesterday's blog post, you know what this is all about. But if you didnt, let me explain: Its the Born Pretty Store week! This golden skull has a 1.1cm diameter. Its somewhat big, specially for my tiny nail beds, but its very comfortable to wear. It weighs 1.6 gr. that you really dont feel. Like I said, its comfortable. These are made of cooper and if you take good care of your skull charms, you could reuse them for years!

Esta calaverita dorada tiene un diámetro de 1.1 cm. Es algo grande, especialmente para mis uñitas tan pequeñitas, pero es muy cómodo de usar. Pesa 1.6 gramos que realmente no se sienten. Como dije, es cómodo. Estan hechas de cobre, asi que si se toman buenos cuidados, estos charms se pueden reutilizar por años!

 I suggest you use nail glue to stick them on your nails, that way your nail style will last much longer. I'm in love with them! Need to order some of these for sure.
